Ihram
Ihrams are the traditional garments worn by Muslim pilgrims during Hajj and Umrah, symbolizing purity and humility before God. For men, Ihram consists of two unstitched white cloth pieces—one wrapped around the waist and the other draped over the shoulder—while women wear modest, loose-fitting attire with a headscarf.
The significance of Ihram lies in its simplicity, promoting equality among pilgrims regardless of their social status. Wearing these garments marks the beginning of the pilgrimage, with pilgrims reciting specific prayers (Talbiyah) to indicate their intent to worship.
Choosing breathable fabrics is essential for comfort during the pilgrimage, as it often involves extensive walking. Ultimately, Ihrams embody a spiritual journey, allowing pilgrims to focus on devotion and unity in their worship.
